Last Saturday was the Grand Opening for my first exhibition in Oslo. -What a day! It was a great opening with over 60 visitors from near and far, and I want to thank you all for so many kind words and wonderful feedback. I am speechless. Now I could probably fill my bathtub with champagne and flowers and dive in.. : )
It was quite an experience to enter the third floor one hour before it all started, and see all my work, framed, and hung up on these wonderful, grey walls. The gallery have done an remarkable job with all of my 17 paintings. It looks so elegant, so cool. And so perfect. A big THANK YOU to Bjørn and Sebastian at Gallery Pingvin!
Here is a selection of my artwork. The paintings above are painted with acrylic, ink and chlorine on canvas, -all in my favorite colors. And the motives are inspired by different textures and forms I see outside. The two paintings on the right are two of my latest work; with monks of course. These strange-looking people who I so love to paint. The paintings down below are both 100x100 cm and painted with the same technique.
I love how the silver frame makes a great contrast to the dark background on the left painting, but at the same time highlight and matches the white-painted monks. The painting with the bird have a mix of cold and warm hues in the background, so the silver framing, with its golden hue, matches quite nice here as well. They look quite good, don`t you think?
